East London Intergroup archives put on a mini event about our history and our members who walked the path before us.
On June 17th, 2023, East London held an event at Kerbey Street, London This day of food, fellowship, and history.

Our ‘Sofa Talk’ of two members, who spoke on the history of A.A. a Twenty-Five to Thirty minutes of Elaine and Alan, Elaine our Sofa Talk presenter, offered Alan the opportunity to flex his historical muscles about the history, which Alan obliged.
Want to know about Founders Day? Hank P? How A.A. came to the UK?
Have a listen
Next, we have five speakers and their topic of choice for ten minutes, on their experience of slogans, the steps, or a tradition.
Our line-up for the day: –
- Joe – Tradition 7
- Rachel – Came to Believe
- Earl – Wisdom of A.A
- Dudley – Carrying the message.
- Dennis – Prison Service.
The top table featured a collective of 220 years of unbroken sobriety.
The five speakers were presented to us by the secretary of the day – Suky.
Today was about learning, listening, laughing and meeting new people all through the power of the archives.
Today is created and pulled together by service. By members who worked tirelessly to get this event to the masses.
Who said Archives isn’t rock n roll….not me.

Well done Mark and Convention team getting the Mini Convention up and running.Denis
